| Donielle Jenkins is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over six and a half years of diverse clinical experience. She believes that life is a continuous learning process and every obstacle presents a greater opportunity for us to grow and change. It is this belief, that led Donielle to her passion for assisting individuals through life's adversities, and providing counseling to aid in her client's growth. Donielle conducts her therapy from an eclectic approach that is individualized for each particular client's need. Traditionally she utilizes cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and humanistic therapies with participation from the client to facilitate a positive working relationship. Donielle understands the importance of a confidential, non-judgemental, safe place to express ones feelings. She enjoys listening with an empathetic ear and discovering her client's strengths in order to utilize them for their life enhancement. Born and raised in the Dallas metroplex, Donielle obtained her education at the University of North Texas where she recieved a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation, Social Work, and Addictions. Donielle was then awarded the choice of two scholarships, one at the University of Northern Colorado and the other at The University of North Texas. |

After serious consideration Donielle turned down the opportunity to move to beautiful Colorado. She instead chose to stay close to family and her connections in the community. Donielle then completed a Masters of Science in Counseling. Her clinical experience began by her working at The Center for Neuro Skills with individuals who had experienced brain injuries. She gained knowledge in working with the client's and their families throughout their recovery as well as all the medical team who collaborated in the treatment plans. After eighteen months Donielle then decided to make the move to The Family Place where she started working with victims of domestic violence and who were clients of the Batterers Intervention and Provention Program. She facilitated individual, group, and training services for the program. After a couple of years she changed positions in order work in the Outreach Program for the next three and half years. Donielle counsels women in domestic violence relationships as well as overseeing the men's victim services. She spent time conducting incest recovery groups for the Salvation Army, Nexus Recovery Center, and is currently facilitating incest recovery groups at The Family Place. |

Donielle has a great working knowledge of Crime Victims Compensation policy, Criminal Court, and Family Court services. She has also spent time making connections in the metroplex that help assist her clients in recieving a collaborative treatment approach when needed. Donielle's private practice consists of individual, couples, adolecents, and group therapy. Donielle works with clients who are experiencing one or more of the following: addictions, anxiety, anger, chronic pain, depression, divorce, dissability, dissociative dissorders, domestic violence, grief, incest recovery, infertility, and any relationship issues. When Donielle is not working, often times she is still providing social services in the community. She enjoys voluntering for The Red Cross where she is a disaster relief cetified mental health professional and for her local school didtrict. Donielle spends the rest of her time with her husband of six years, little boy, four cats, and their dog.  |
